Prices and paying

Every JAM price is on the site, before GST: the rail at ₹250 per running foot (about ₹820 per metre), cords from ₹850 and hooks from ₹220. You can see what a wall costs before you contact anyone, with the rail calculator or the project estimator.

On picturerail.in, the product listing we checked leaves the price fields blank and says the price is lower than the manufacturer's minimum advertised price, shown once the item is in the cart. That makes a like-for-like price comparison impossible from the outside. If you are comparing for a project, ask both for a quotation for the same walls.

JAM can be paid online in full, or 30% now and the balance on delivery. Businesses can request a formal GST quote and pay by bank transfer against a PO.

Ratings and range

The JAM rail is rated 25 kg per metre, Perlon cords 20 kg each, and hooks 4 kg or 15 kg. That covers frames, canvases and most mirrors when the load is spread over two cords. See what 25 kg per metre means for worked examples.

STAS publishes ratings per rail, from 20 kg per metre up to 100 kg per metre for its heaviest rail, and sells rails with built-in lighting, rails for suspended grid ceilings and rails plastered into new walls. If you need one of those, STAS has a product for it and JAM does not.

Which is the better fit

STAS is the better fit if you need lighting built into the rail, loads above 25 kg per metre, a rail made for suspended grid ceilings or plastered into a new wall, or a five-year warranty matters more to you than price.

JAM is the better fit if you want to see and pay a ₹ price today, need a GST invoice in your company's name, want dispatch from Faridabad within 1–2 business days, and want one system you can configure in three steps or estimate across a whole building.

Questions

Is STAS sold in India?

Yes. picturerail.in is the India storefront for STAS picture hanging systems, operated by Indian Engineering Industries in Chennai.

Which is cheaper, JAM or STAS?

JAM prices are published on this site. The picturerail.in product listing does not show prices until an item is in the cart, so we cannot compare them fairly. For a project, ask both for a quotation for the same walls.

Does JAM have a rail with lighting?

No. JAM is one aluminium rail with cords and hooks. If you need integrated lighting, STAS sells rails with it.

How much weight does each system hold?

The JAM rail is rated 25 kg per metre, with 20 kg cords and 4 kg or 15 kg hooks. STAS rates its rails between 20 and 100 kg per metre depending on the model.

Ready to hang it?

One wall: build the system in three steps. Several walls or sites: estimate the project and get a GST quote.
